Shamanic Healing

What is a shamanic healing?

Shamanic healing is a tradition dating back at least 40,000 years, based on the belief that all healing includes a spiritual dimension. Shamanism holds that everything is spirit, is alive and has awareness, and has an energetic vibration. Our energetic vibrations exists within a greater energy system, and that we are all connected in this greater energy system.

The Shamanic Practitioner works within this system to bring balance and harmony for an individual on all levels. Since most problems are the result of congested or blocked energy flows, the focus on a shamanic healing session is to clear the energy field and get your energy moving. By using shamanic practices, a wide spectrum of healing is possible.

What should i expect during a session?

A shamanic healing starts with a conversation about what you are experiencing and other pertinent information - such as medical care you are receiving and medications you are taking.

I will the prepare myself through meditation, and silently observe your energy system. I will also ask my helping spirits and allies to assist me in understanding what is needed for healing.

Depending on the information I receive, I may use a variety of tools and approaches to get your energy flowing. This can include sound healing through the use of song and other instruments such as drums, rattles, singing bowls, bells, and chimes. There may be the use of tobacco and other non-ingested medicinal plants, essential oils, feathers, crystals, and gemstones. The session may include physical manipulation and hands on massage.

A shamanic healing is generally 30-60 minutes in length.

30 minutes - $40

60 minutes - $80

90 minutes - $120

What is a Shamanic Practitioner?

According to the Society for Shamanic Practice (shamanicpractice.org) a shamanic practitioner is someone that has "not necessarily gone through an old school apprentiship but are skilled healers, ceremonialists, and teachers in their pown right, Some few have actually apprenticed with master shamans for years, but sensitive to appropriation issues, they may have chosen not to call themselves shamans but rather shamanic practitioners.

It is acceptable to ask the shamanic practitioner what their training and experience has been. A person who has taken a weekend workshop in shamanism ir read a couple of books should by no means call themselves a shamanic practitioner, Since these days some do, it is best to be discerning."
